What it can do

  • Helps right here

    Ask it about our servers on this website: is something down, how to join, where to get help. Hit “Ask Static” in the corner.

  • Talks in voice

    Join a call and say its name. It answers out loud in about a second, and you can talk over it to cut it off.

  • Chats in text

    Mention it, reply to it or DM it. It reads the last few messages so it knows what you’re talking about.

  • Looks things up

    News, patch notes, scores: it searches the web when a question needs something current.

  • Clips and quotes

    “Static, clip that” posts the last 30 seconds of the call as an MP3. “Quote that” saves a line to the quote book.

  • Reminders and polls

    Set a reminder for you or the whole call, or start a poll and hear the result announced in voice.

  • Weather, maths and dice

    Forecasts, conversions, time in another city, coin flips and team picks, worked out properly, not guessed.

  • Sees images

    Post a screenshot or a photo and ask about it.

  • Remembers the regulars

    It learns who you are over time. See what it knows with /profile, and wipe it any time with /forget.

  3. Keep talking. In text, just mention it or reply to it.

  2. Say its name, the same as on Discord.
  3. Commands start with !: !help lists them all.

  3. It checks the live status and points you to the right page.

On both, you can link your accounts with /link and !link so Static knows it’s you. Fluxer commands

Run your own

Static is open source under the MIT license. It runs fully locally on one 8 GB graphics card: speech to text, the language model and its voice all stay on the machine, with no AI company in between. Our copy runs on an RTX 2070 SUPER.
